Tuesday at 3:30pm, Kid's Martial Arts with Jessie, Ages 4-8

This is a fun, high energy martial arts class for kids that includes basic self defense mechanics like kicks, punches, blocks, jumps and more. Designed for free expression and discipline, this class will leave your child invigorated and eager to learn more. (*No experience is required). Please sign up and reserve your class today, space is limited to 15 LAB5 kid community members. **Parental approval and authorization is required.**

Tuesday at 4:30pm, Kid's Ballet with

Sean, Ages 9-12

This class teaches the fundamentals of classical ballet along with creative movement. The 50-minute class will include a mix of focused, traditional exercise and educational games. Students will work on proper alignment and posture, positions of the feet and arms, jump and turn preparation, rhythm and musicality. Classes will follow a classic ballet class format: warm-up, BARRE work, stretches, center and across the floor exercises, choreography and reverence. We will take breaks from traditional exercises to play games that will help with balance and posture! This class is a blast for kids! This class is low-impact, open to all levels and is a great place to start at the LAB. (*No dance experience is required). Thursday at 3:30pm, Kid's Yoga with

Cassandra, Ages 4-8

Kids Yoga is a fun and creative approach to yoga that can be very helpful for children whose bodies are still developing. The use of animated poses and basic stretching exercises promote strength, flexibility, coordination and body awareness. Breathing and visualization techniques teach kids how to focus, relax and develop self-control. Kids will improve concentration and focus, stimulate their imagination and help to release energy in a fun, safe environment. Using interactive games and animated postures, kids learn about animals, nature and basic anatomy through yoga. This class is low-impact, open to all levels and is a great place to start at the LAB. Thursday at 4:30pm, Martial Arts with

Jessie, "Girls Only" Ages 9-12yrs

This is a high energy, style of self defense using blocking techniques, simulated punches and amazing kicks. All students begin their training with repetitions of basic self defense exercises for strength, coordination and balance. Students also learn traditional forms (dance of martial arts movements), along with practical applications, and fighting techniques. Some self defense mechanics like kicks, punches, blocks, jumps will be used. Designed for free expression and discipline, Learn awareness of surroundings, how to trust your instincts, channeling fear into anger, self confidence, and mental focus; LAB5 style. This class is open to all levels and is a great place to start at the LAB. (*No experience is required).
